The quietest indoor units of the three and superb cold-weather heating. Worth the extra if the unit is going in a bedroom you're fussy about.
Our honest recommendation
For most West Midlands homes we fit LG. It's the best value per kW, genuinely quiet, and spares are quick to source if anything ever goes wrong. Choose Mitsubishi Electric if absolute silence in a bedroom is your priority, and Daikin if you want a specific designer indoor unit. Common questions
Is LG as good as Daikin?
For a normal UK home, yes. The compressors, inverters and heat output are comparable. Daikin has more premium indoor unit styling and slightly better brand recognition; LG gives you the same comfort for a few hundred pounds less, which is why it's our default recommendation.
Which brand is cheapest to run?
Running costs are driven by SCOP/SEER rating and how well the unit is sized, not by badge. All three offer A+++ models. A correctly sized LG will beat an oversized Mitsubishi every time.
Which is quietest?
Mitsubishi Electric edges it at around 18 dB(A) on the lowest fan speed, with LG and Daikin at 19–22 dB(A). In practice all three are quieter than a fridge in a bedroom.

Yes — Panasonic, Samsung, Toshiba and Fujitsu too. If you've already bought a unit we'll fit it install-only from £950 per indoor unit.
